Postgraduate Study In Australia

Postgraduate courses in Australia can typically last anywhere between 3 months to 4 years. Usually, when taking a postgraduate course in Australia, you will be provided the option to choose between a coursework focused course and a research focused course.

Pre-Masters Study In Australia

Pre-Master's courses are available for students who do not possess the necessary grades or language skills to pass automatically into a Master's course. By passing this course a student will then be able to take a full Master's Degree course.

Masters Degree

A typical Masters Degree will usually take between 1-2 years to complete. A Master's Degree assessed by coursework (18-24 months) will also require a completed dissertation. A research focused Masters Degree is often used to prepare students for a PhD and will typically take two years. This type of course requires a lot more independent study in comparison.

Admission Entry Requirements

To attend a postgraduate course in Australia you will typically require a score of IELTS 6.5. This will of course depend on your course and the choice of university. Again, each institution will have different entry requirements and different timelines.
