Margaret Denton was appointed Chief Compliance Office in 2018. In this role, she is responsible for leading the University’s Compliance Program, which entails internal processes for promoting and ensuring the University’s compliance with laws, regulations, school policies and contracts, and managing the internal complaint reporting process. She chairs the University’s Compliance Committee, which oversees the University’s compliance management, training and compliance gap analysis. Margaret maintains a dual role with the university, which is split between the Compliance Program and Office of General Counsel, where she serves as the Associate General Counsel. Her experience spans a wide range of legal practices, including health care, real estate, finance, employment, regulatory compliance and corporate training. In addition to her JD from Temple University, she has an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. Margaret also holds certifications in Healthcare Compliance, Healthcare Research Compliance, and Compliance & Ethics.
Beverly Wade serves as the Director of State Authorization ensuring the institution abides by university, state and national regulations. She guides and supports academic and administrative units across all three campuses in state authorization and professional licensure compliance. With more than 10 years of experience in compliance and operations management, her skills include quality assurance and operations management. She was previously at the University of Arkansas, where she played a key role in developing and managing compliance activities and structures.
Christopher Ogbuli serves as a Budget Analyst with the Business and Finance Division. Christopher’s experience spans a wide range of regulations practices, including Airport Security Threat Assessment, Compliance & Guidelines for the Security Key Control Program, and security audits. For the city of San Francisco and San Francisco County (Airport Division), he was involved in training airport tenants, vendors and staff to follow TSA Security Directives.
Deborah Freeman serves as the Director of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity and ADA Coordinator. Deborah manages the implementation and oversight of the university’s affirmative action program and provides counsel to and advises university administrators, managers, supervisors, and departments about equity, accessibility, non-discrimination, and anti-harassment, policies, regulations, guidelines, and laws. In addition to her MBA from Aspen University, Deborah holds certifications in Human Resources (PHR and SHRM-CP) and Affirmative Action (Senior Certified Affirmative Action Professional).
Christine Fluter-Brown serves as Director of Research and Compliance in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. She oversees Research Administration, Research Policies, Research Compliance, Grants, and Sponsored Contracts. Her time at Pacific and other university institutions spans a wide range of elements in Higher Education including Compliance, Research, Graduate Studies, Student Life and Admissions. Her MA in Higher Education is from Pacific.
Lindsey Green serves as the University Privacy Officer. Lindsey was appointed to be University HIPAA Privacy Officer in June 2017 and continues to serve in that role. In addition, Lindsey is also the Patient Relations Liaison for the Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry, where she helps resolve patient disputes and works with faculty, staff and students to improve the patient experience. Lindsey earned her JD from DePaul University College of Law in 2007 and became a member of the Illinois Bar that same year. She became certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance in 2018.
Steven Greenwood serves as the Director of Physical Plant. Steven brings over 30 years of experience in facility management, finance/budget analysis, accounting, and safety and security. He has experience in both the private and public sectors, including the United States Air Force, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the City of Sacramento, American Honda Motors and Aspire Public Schools. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Humphreys College and his Master of Business Administration from University of the Pacific. He also holds Certified Facility Manager, Sustainable Facility Professional, and Facility Management Professional designations from the International Facility Management Association.
Rita Peterson serves as Compliance Program Coordinator. Rita joined the University when the General Counsel’s office was formed. She supports the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel. Prior to this position, she was Office Manager for a dental practice in Stockton. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
