Overview of Cardiff Metropolitan University

Cardiff Metropolitan University was once a school of art called Cardiff School of Art, established in 1865. Three more institutions sprang up from the same roots—Cardiff College of Food Technology and Commerce at Crwys Road (1940), Cardiff Training College, Heath Park (1950) and Llandaff Technical College, Western Avenue (1954). These four merged to form South Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education in 1976. This later went to become University of Wales, Cardiff, before becoming Cardiff Metropolitan University. Cardiff Metropolitan reviews from the students are good and so is the Cardiff Metropolitan University acceptance rate.

About 11000 students are studying at Cardiff Metropolitan University, working for their bachelor’s and master’s degree in various areas of study.
