Overview of University of Portsmouth
The University of Portsmouth is located on the south coast of England, approximately 120 km southwest of London. There are more than 24,000 students enrolled, 4,000 of whom are international. Portsmouth is a modern, multidisciplinary university offering practical courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research level across five faculties. Most Bachelor’s degrees include one year paid internships and the University is currently ranked 21st in the UK (Guardian University Guide 2020) and is highly rated for student satisfaction and graduate employment. Overview The University of Portsmouth ranked among the top 100 new universities in the world (Times Higher Education 2017) and holds a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). Within six months of graduation, 96 per cent of students go to work, earning 13 per cent more than average expectations within five years.
Portsmouth is the second biggest city in Hampshire and the only island city in the United Kingdom, situated 64 miles southwest of London and has a variety of transport links.
