Arts University Bournemouth (abbreviated AUB) is an art, performance, design, and media-specific college based in Poole, Dorset, UK. It used to be known as Bournemouth’s The Arts University College and The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. AUB is a leading arts university that turns creativity into professions. In AUB we are enthusiastic about our creative topics and promote curiosity, risk-taking and adventure.

In the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework, a public evaluation of the quality of undergraduate teaching at universities and other suppliers of higher education in England, the university was granted Gold. This award recognized elevated rates of graduates ‘ professional jobs.

Location

Poole is a port town and tourist resort with beaches, cultivated gardens and plenty of inspiration for days out on the second biggest natural harbour in the globe. Make your way to the atmospheric Fisherman’s Dock at the end of Poole Quay and at this historic boathouse you will discover an interesting slice of local maritime history.
This was Poole’s lifeboat station from 1882 to 1989 and houses the Thomas Kirk Wright, which was introduced in 1939 and was the first of 19 lifeboats to arrive in Dunkirk on 30 May 1940 for evacuation.
