Overview of University of Reading

The University of Reading was founded in 1892 and was granted its Royal Charter in 1926. It is now ranked among the top 20% of the world’s institutions  and has enrolled more than 20,000 students from around 150 countries. 94 per cent of graduates are working or studying within six months of graduation.

International students are located in close proximity to London and will be among the community of more than 5,000 overseas students from more than 140 countries. The University of Reading is working to ensure that all students are well integrated with a number of societies available to students of different faiths on campus, as well as societies reflecting different interests.

Located between London and Oxford on the Thames River, Reading is an affluent town with a population of 163,000. The city is located in the south east of England and provides easy access to London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
