5 reasons to spend the summer in Brighton

March 7, 2017

Looking to enrol in an English summer school? There are so many different, amazing places you can choose to study across the country.

One such place is Brighton. A seaside resort town situated in the south of the country, Brighton is a wonderful place with lots to offer. If you’re considering spending the summer there studying, here are 5 reasons why you’re making the right choice.

1. Weather

England has a bit of a bad reputation when it comes to weather. And sadly, it’s something that we can’t really defend because it’s true! However, Brighton actually gets good weather – especially in Summer. The Summer in Brighton sees around 8 hours of sunshine a day, relatively hot temperatures (for the UK at least) and very little rain. Because Brighton is a seaside town, there’s even a beach to enjoy. Remember to pack your sunscreen!

2. Sights

From the famous Brighton Pier to The Royal Pavilion, there are so many wonderful sights to see in Brighton. No matter what you’re in the mood to see; a Llama Park, Sea Life Centre, Windmills, Natural History or simply a cycle around the city, you won’t be disappointed with what Brighton has to offer.

3. Activities

You won’t be short of things to do in Brighton. For those who love the rush of adrenaline, there’s an array of thrilling watersports to try. Choose from wakeboarding, paddle boarding or some other adventurous sport.

There’s also a variety of museums, galleries and attractions to visit whilst you’re in Brighton. So don’t worry about trying to fill your free time over Summer!

4. LGBT Friendly

Brighton is known as one of the most LGBT friendly places in the UK. Every year there is a Pride parade that celebrates the LGBT community. There are also a whole host of LGBT comedy nights, art shows and clubs to enjoy. Brighton is an inclusive city – everyone is welcome.

5. Food & Drink

Brighton has an eclectic range of food and drink places for you to visit. It means that no matter what you’re in the mood for, or what your specific tastes are, you’ll find some delicious food in Brighton. From cosy, coffee shops and traditional afternoon tea, to fine dining and upmarket bars, Brighton has it all!
