Dundee is the fourth-largest town in Scotland and sits on the east coast of the Tay River, surrounded by hills and farmland. It has some of the lowest cost of living for students in the UK, 14 per cent lower than the UK average. It’s Scotland’s sunniest city, too. Dundee Airport provides direct routes to London City Airport for those wishing to travel either from Heathrow or Gatwick, while other Scottish airports, such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, also provide international destinations.

The jute barons of Dundee saw Broughty Ferry as the perfect place to build mansions, and so the area was known as wealthy, more so than any other region in the United Kingdom, or indeed Europe as a whole.
